Letting go

♥ Its amazing how determined the heart can be when it doesn't want to let go of something...whether it be a grudge or someome you love...the heart struggles against all odds...it commands the mind so search for every loophole...for even the tiniest glimmer of hope...so that the heart can continue to hold on to it...the smallest sign...the tiniest gesture...it can be enough to sway the heart into believing it completely...once your heart is set on something...there is really no easy way to turn it...why do our hearts act that way? why do they choose to hang on by a thread? why can't hearts just accept the truth and move on?...or perhaps its just my heart...refusing to let go...listening to a simple song or reading a set of words...automatically triggers a deep sense of longing and regret...a feeling of loss and pain...a drive to fill the gap and reclaim what was lost....why can't the mind control the heart?...why does the heart overpower the mind every single time?...why?
